In any incarnation, his shoes are incredibly flattering and comfortable. Expensive? Extremely. Save up- I promise it is sooo worth it. I've found my shoe already: the Simple Pump, any variation (New Simple, Simple 85, etc.). I spotted them lurking demurely in the corner of the SoHo Louboutin, and was shocked when I tried them on at how sexy and understated they are. They are lightweight, well-balanced--which I've learned the hard way is CRUCIAL when buying a heel, beautifully sculpted, and easy as pie to walk in, because the heel is one of the lower that Louboutin makes. They do serious magic in your strut.

Then again, Mr. Louboutin's more flamboyant shoes, like these, aren't so bad, either:

The Adona Lim flat, created in collaboration with the wonderful Phillip Lim.
2. Lippmann Collection nail polish
Some might say that nail polish is silly, but to them I would respond by flipping them off with a colorfully polished middle finger on a silky-smooth hand. I really would, I actually have that as a reflex for some reason when I'm mad. I consider it a bit of Tourette's mixed with spending my adolescence at an all-girls school.
Anyway, Lippmann Collection is curated by the adorable and multi-talented Deborah Lippmann (she's a singer, too!). While it is only one of my favorite lacquer brands, it stands out as the most exemplary because of constant formula and color innovation, product performance, company accessibility (Lippmann herself writes a blog for her company), and runway presence.
Some of the chicest, most interesting, and/or flattering colors I've seen:
Purple Rain (created by Deborah for Zac Posen's Spring 2009 runway show)

This is what it looks like on, as shown on AllLacqueredUp.com, one of my staple must-check-daily blogs. I own this polish, and am in fact wearing it right now.
It's quite flattering and more subtle than you would think, and very sexy. The light can't ever play off it exactly right, which makes it all shadow-y and mysteriously cool.
Diamonds and Pearls, a really beautiful clear polish with gold, pinkish, and pearly sparkles. I wear this when I want to look all natural and shit. It's very angelic.

This is the largest picture I could find, so I guess whoever's out there reading this will have to take my word for it. But since that's probably not anyone, then I guess it's cool.
Lippmann also has two really sick-looking ones coming out soon, that I can't wait to get my hands on, and get ON my hands... I am a loser. But I digress. I give you:
Happy Birthday
Swatch from Vampy Varnish, who is climbing the list of blogs I check compulsively.
Marquee Moon (made for Rodarte's Fall/Winter 2010 show)

Awesomely futuristic nail polish. Not really a happy future, either. Probably one where everyone is underground because the sun blew up, and everyone is really pale with dark circles. Which is what I look like right now, so bring it.
