Yumminess

This pains me.

Oh Marc Jacobs, why do you do this to me? Do you hate me that much? Well, I guess I deserve it for screen-grabbing from your site. All of these exquisite bags in the most adorable color combinations will probably be impossible to find as soon as they come out. :(

Wishes

Right now, I wish:
1. That I could stop having a panic attack every time I think about starting my Arabic class next week.
2. That my boyfriend were here with me, or that I were with him. (Check out that subjunctive!)
3. That I could decide which color to paint my nails right now.
4. That there were something more interesting than "Bridezillas" right now. These bitches are fucking nuts.

So, thinking about all of that, I will put some things on here to think about instead, which will cheer me up.

Here are some perty Rachel Comey hair clips that I desire, with
matching clip-on earrings!

Now, please forgive me because I am terrible with uploading pictures and all of this, it's a wonder that they are even on the page so if it's ugly or misaligned, I apologize. Clearly I will never be a successful/beloved blogger with a cult-like following. Oh well.

What else can I show myself? Hmmm.... Digging around in my pictures....

TSUMORI CHISATO!!!!
How I love thee, Tsumori Chisato.

I cannot express, even to myself, how dearly I crave this beautiful "Cattle Lace" printed dress.

Or how cute I would look in it.

Boots by LD Tuttle. For one brief second, I considered spending tuition muns on their "The Bard" beauties, but alas, common sense took the reigns and I held back. I could cry about not owning these, which is why I try not to think about them too much; however, a look once in a while reminds me that edgy, trendless, badass style still exists (I'm looking at you, shredded-everything-clunky-boots-MK-Alexander-Wang-devotees, that shit is UGLY). Ugly. You all look like dirty idiots who will buy anything. Moving on:

The Bard. Yes.

And zees wan ees called "The Shaper." Don't know why.

This Christopher Kane for Topshop dress. Although it's great and lovely and all that, dear Topshop, you are too fucking expensive for what you are. Take a look in the mirror and charge like 100.00 for this dress, not 290.00. Seriously. But, it is nice to look at, so here.
Look at those lovely black crystals!!! I really like that detail, and the rich dark cobalt. God I need money.

This is how I smell, I guess

I love a good fragrance. Scratch that. "Good" fragrance is ridiculously subjective. I love vanilla smells, musky smells, anything that is sweet and sexy. Even overly sweet fragrances have a place in my heart. What I despise, however, is tuberose. And lilac. I fucking hate them, and people who smell like that make me feel sick to my stomach. My favorite waters and oils with which to anoint myself are the following:

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Extreme

Ah, my first love. Spray this in your hair and on your wrists and you will suddenly be the object of much attention and more affections than you can handle. Really.

Spring Flowers by Creed

This was originally created for Audrey Hepburn, whom I decided I liked after I learned that she never bothered covering up her dark circles, and kept a pet deer. It smells like the freshly-cut flowers I would get myself if I weren't so lazy.

Plus, it comes in this gorgeous box.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

Yes, laugh at me. This perfume is still tasty and flirtatious. Maybe I'll make your boyfriend break up with you while I'm wearing it. Bitch.

Kiehl's Musk Oil
This is so sexy in a raw, earthy way. I feel a bit like a hippie when I put this on, which is never a good thing, but nonetheless having this scent glowing out from the nape of my neck makes me feel like a wood nymph. Or something.

Tihota by Indult
I saved the best for last. This is my absolute favorite scent ever. Warm, musky, amber-y vanilla that's so concentrated it's akin to drizzling honey over your naked body while laying in the golden rays of the sun. It is that lovely and sensuous.

Favorite Things, Part 1 of Infinity, Louboutins and Lippmann

1. Louboutins
In any incarnation, his shoes are incredibly flattering and comfortable. Expensive? Extremely. Save up- I promise it is sooo worth it. I've found my shoe already: the Simple Pump, any variation (New Simple, Simple 85, etc.). I spotted them lurking demurely in the corner of the SoHo Louboutin, and was shocked when I tried them on at how sexy and understated they are. They are lightweight, well-balanced--which I've learned the hard way is CRUCIAL when buying a heel, beautifully sculpted, and easy as pie to walk in, because the heel is one of the lower that Louboutin makes. They do serious magic in your strut.

Then again, Mr. Louboutin's more flamboyant shoes, like these, aren't so bad, either:
The Adona Lim flat, created in collaboration with the wonderful Phillip Lim.

2. Lippmann Collection nail polish
Some might say that nail polish is silly, but to them I would respond by flipping them off with a colorfully polished middle finger on a silky-smooth hand. I really would, I actually have that as a reflex for some reason when I'm mad. I consider it a bit of Tourette's mixed with spending my adolescence at an all-girls school.
Anyway, Lippmann Collection is curated by the adorable and multi-talented Deborah Lippmann (she's a singer, too!). While it is only one of my favorite lacquer brands, it stands out as the most exemplary because of constant formula and color innovation, product performance, company accessibility (Lippmann herself writes a blog for her company), and runway presence.

Some of the chicest, most interesting, and/or flattering colors I've seen:

Purple Rain (created by Deborah for Zac Posen's Spring 2009 runway show)
This is what it looks like on, as shown on AllLacqueredUp.com, one of my staple must-check-daily blogs. I own this polish, and am in fact wearing it right now.

It's quite flattering and more subtle than you would think, and very sexy. The light can't ever play off it exactly right, which makes it all shadow-y and mysteriously cool.

Diamonds and Pearls, a really beautiful clear polish with gold, pinkish, and pearly sparkles. I wear this when I want to look all natural and shit. It's very angelic.

This is the largest picture I could find, so I guess whoever's out there reading this will have to take my word for it. But since that's probably not anyone, then I guess it's cool.

Lippmann also has two really sick-looking ones coming out soon, that I can't wait to get my hands on, and get ON my hands... I am a loser. But I digress. I give you:

Happy Birthday

I love glitter.

Swatch from Vampy Varnish, who is climbing the list of blogs I check compulsively.

Marquee Moon (made for Rodarte's Fall/Winter 2010 show)
Awesomely futuristic nail polish. Not really a happy future, either. Probably one where everyone is underground because the sun blew up, and everyone is really pale with dark circles. Which is what I look like right now, so bring it.

Hmm

I'm getting frustrated with this already.

BUT

I shall soldier on for the no people reading this.

What shall I discuss today? How about... NOTHING? Sounds good to me.
